Broiler Placements Up Eleven Percent Placements of Droller chicks in the Commonwealth during the week ending July 6, 1968, totaled 862,000, according to the Pennsylvania Crop Reporting Service The placements declin ed 4% from the previous week but advanced 11% from the same week a year earlier. Aver age placements during the past 10 weeks declined 2% from a year earlier Settings for bi oiler chicks totaling 1,637,000, weie about the same as the previous week and advanced 13% from the comparable period a year earlier The current 3-week to tal of eggs set is 5% more than the same period in 1967. Inship ments of broiler-type chicks during the past 10 weeks aver aged 21,200 13% less than the comparable period in 1967. Out shipments averaged 278,700 during the past 10 weeks, 51% more than a year earlier.
