—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, June 15,1968 18 # 4.U NEWS CLUB TO HOLD DOGGIE ROAST The 4-H Soil and Water Con servation Club will hold a doggie roast for members and parents at the Vincent Hoover farm, located on the right side of Route 222 traveling south at New Providence, tonight (June 15) at 7 00. The doggies and lolls will be provided and members are ask ed to bring a covered dish and cold drink. MOUNT JOY BUSY BAKERS The Mount Joy 4-H Cooking Club members chose the name of The Mount Joy Busy Bakers for their club at a meeting held Tuesday. Leaders are Mr. Roy Sayder, Mrs. Wilmar Nissley, and Mrs. Warren Shenk. The next meeting of the club will be held June 18 at 9 a m. at the Wilbur I. Beahm School. COOKIN’ CLUB MEETS Denise Jurell presented a demonstration on how to make a cracker fish for the members of the 4-H What’s Cookin’ Club at its meeting held June 10 at the home of their leader, Mrs. Willis Bucher, Lititz R 2. The meeting was conducted by Ginny Bomberger, club pre sident. Miss Jurell also gave f report on the County Council meeting held recently. Patricia Erb, secretary, read the minutes of the last meeting Group A cooked and made an apricot coffee cake and milk bars. Holly List led the singing and Barb Stephan played the piano. The club will hold its next meeting at the Bucher residence on June 17 at 1 p m. AYRSHIRE, JERSEY, BROWN SWISS CLUB by Larry Aaron The fourth monthly meeting of the Ayrshire, Jersey, Brown Swiss Club was held at the Ma sonic Homes, Elizabethtown The meeting was called to order by the president, Donna Eshle man Two classes of Ayrshires were judged Under old business, Mr Plas tow told the club the dues to the county council was 10c per per son The club is going to give $2 60 It was announced that there will be a public speaking contest at the Farm & Home Center on July 9 The next meeting will be held at the farm of William Arrow smith, Peach Bottom, on July 8 at 7 00 p.m. A swimming party is planned.
