Mrs. Pearle Best, a member
of Farm Women #2O. spoke on
her recent trip to Hawaii and
showed pictures and souvenirs
at their meeting held in the
home of Mrs. Thomas Ferguson,
Kirkwood Rl, with Mrs. Elam
Hess as co-hostess.
Mrs, Hayes Hastings conduct
ed the business at which time
plans were made for the annual
shore trip to Atlantic City in Au
gust.
In other business the Society
approved donation of cookies to
*he open house of the Fdrm and
Home Center held Sunday and
'he sending of sandwiches to the
USO on June 22 at the Moose
Hall, Lancaster.
An invitation was accepted
from Society 15 to attend their
garden party which was held on
June 12 and a meeting on June
20 at the Black Rock Retreat.
Aldus Martin was the recipient
of the PFA plaque awarded a
member of the graduating class
of Solanco High School from So
ciety 20.
A gift of $lO to help with the
Red Cross Ditty Bag project
was approved. The bags will be
distributed to American soldiers
in Vietnam on Christmas Day.

The Hellenic Orthodox Church,
Hershey Avc„ were the meeting
place of Society of Farm Women
#25 on Saturday, June 8. The
Rev. Alexander Veronis, pastor,
took the group on tour of the
Church and spoke on the cus
toms and history of the church.
Devotions were in charge of
Mrs. Maynard Warfel. Members
will assist at the USO on Juhe
22. A donation was voted to the
Farm and Home Center and to
the Mental Health Association.
The gift of the month was re
ceived by Mrs. Jacob Boose.
Several members served re
freshments and entertained the
Lancaster County Umt at Em
breeville on May 31.
Refreshments were served by
Mrs. David Newswanger. There
will be no meeting in July. On
Aug. 10 there will be a covered
dish luncheon at the home of
Mrs. Sterling Elmer, Lancaster
R.
