The next meeting will be a family picnic with each mem ber bringing a covered dish on July 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Paradise Memorial Park. By Doris Thomas, Extension Home Economist Forgotten Vacation Expenses When estimating the cost of your summer vacation, include these items, if they apply to your plans: Admission fees to museums, national parks, and other tourist attractions. These vary from place to place. Poit fees. Some foreign poits levy a special tax on boat passengers when they em bark or disembark. Boarding pets. Dogs cost more to board than cats. Green fees. If you’re a golfer, include this expense in your budget. Laundiy. Inexpensive if you use coin operated machines. Passports. You can save money by putting the entile family on one passpoit if you intend to stay together on the trip. Souvenirs and gifts. Garden care. To keep your at home yaid tended, you may have to hire someone for grass cutting and weeding. Deduct the sura you would spend at home for food, enter tainment, and other expenses from your expected vacation budget. The remainder repre sents the extra amount the vaca tion will cost.
