Leland H. Bull announced plans
for a meeting March 1 to discuss
possible methods of expanding
milk promotion m Pennsylvan

“Specifically,” he said, “we
will sound out dairy interests on
the possibility of seeking a mar
keting order for milk, similar to
the apple marketing order now
in operation in Pennsylvania ”
State apple growers last year
appioved a marketing order
that provides promotion, adver
tising and research funds
through a grower- assessment
plan
Seoetary Bull said dairy pro
ducers and other interested

tend the meeting. It will be held
in Room 305 of the Agriculture

Inter-State Adopts Resolution
To Preserve Penna. Milk Agency
The Inter-State Milk Produc
ers’ Cooperative held their Dis
trict Seven Members’ Annual
Dinner Meeting, Wednesday at
Hostetter’s Dining Hall
In the business meeting, a res
olution to preserve a separate
Pennsylvania Milk Agency was
adopted They also resolved to
write their Legislators in Har
risburg to keep milk marketing
regulations as a separate arm
of the Legislature Clarence
Stauffer, Ephrata dairy farmer,
introduced the resolutions
Paul E Hand, economist for
the Cooperative, said that if
government accepts the recom
mendations of the cooperative
to hold present milk prices to
farmers, prices are expected
to remain at present levels
through the rest of this year and
through June of next year in the
Delaware Valley marketing
area
Boyd C Gartley, director of
Member and Public Relations,
showed slides and told of his
work with city groups in milk
promotion
The election of officers in all
locals m District #7 was held
and are as follows
