Crops by Jim Hiestand The Elizabeth town FFA Chaptei has fifteen acres of land to raise crops. The Juniors, are mainly responsible for the planning and the success of the farming program. This summer we are planning to grow tobacco and field corn. We also a field of alfalfa, which was planted sever al years ago The profit we make on these crops goes in the treasury for three trips Ten dollars goes to the Freshman class for a one day field trip and twenty dollars to the Sophomore class for a two day field trip The balance of the money is used by the Seniors for a class trip in the summer of ’69. This makes the Juniors responsible for grow ing a profitable crop so we can have a trip to the west coast without worrying about ex penses.
