Form Show Weather Is
Topic Of Discussion
This was the week that al
most was foi the Pennsylvania
Farm Show and the weather
that seems to be typical of the
big event
Fortunately—or unfortunate
ly, if the weather pattern con
tinues on the same course —the
show opens'Monday, January 15,
a week later than usual
Farm Shows aie scheduled
for the second full week in Jan
uary. Thus year the New Year’s
holiday lopped one day off the
first week, thus 'the third week
of the month becomes the sec
ond full week The only other
circumstance requiring an ad
justments of dates is the inau
guration of Pennsylvania gov
ernors, which, by state law,
must be held at the Farm Show
Building.
Farm Show officials are hop
ing for bright clear weather
But a call to the local weather
bureau office for prospects for
the week brought an odd le
sponse “We use the Farm Show
to forecast the weather for the
week,” said a spokesman who
asked with tongue in cheek
—not to be identified
