In a ceremony held October 25 in the special exhibition hall, first floor, Museum of History and Technology, Washington, D. C., historic truck and farm tractor suspension seats were formally presented to the Smithsonian Institution as in novations in technology by the UOP Bostrom Division, Milwaukee, Wis. Rubber torsion spring and compact linkage are features of suspension first offered by the Oliver Corporation. Seat was designed by A. F. Hick man, consultant to UOP Bostrom Division, Milwaukee, Wis., leading supplier of scientific seating for farm trac tors, trucks and earth moving equipment. Hundreds of thousands of seats currently are in use throughout the world based on the principles of the model K. Before this innovation, tractor seats were attached to the vehicle via spring bar which compounded jolts and vibrations sus tained by operators. • Form Women (Continued from Page 1) Strashurg Railroad for all the assistance given to our pro gram.” The campaign director, m urging the support of Lancas ter County residents for the Christmas Seal campaign, point ed out that 30 patients from Lancaster County were hospi talized last year with TB and 397 more were treated at clin ics and home by their doctors In addition he said, the So ciety gave 15,360 x-rays during the past year and 13,127 tuber culin tests Mr Muth said turrner, “The TB and Health Society also helps people who have em jphysema, bronchitis, asthma and other diseases which af fect breathing Christmas Seal dollais have already provided special help for moie than 25 of these patients in Lancaster County, with six of them now using breathing equipment lent free of charge by the So ciety ” He pointed out that ad ditional funds are needed to purchase additional equipment Mr Muth, who retired m 1965 as vice-pi esident and con troller of Armstrong Cork Company after 44 years of seivice, is cunently a member of the board of directors of the TB Society, Family and Chil dren’s Service and the Com munity Council of Lancaster County He is also a trustee of the Wheatland Foundation and is the Society’s representative to the Health and Welfare Foundation .• Vintage (Continued from Page 2) barrows and gilts 19 75-20 25, Is 195-225 lbs 20 50-21.35; 1-3 180-240 lbs 18 60-19 50; 2-3 245- 265 lbs 17 50-18 50 SHEEP 40 - .Slaughter lambs steady; good and choice 65-90 lb wooled lambs 23-25, few 25 50-26, utility 19-22 50 STAINLESS STEEL An estimated 285 million pounds of nickel went into the manufacture of stainless steel during 1966. -V - • Most (Continued from Page 1) The over-all breeds grand champion steer of the Exposi tion was the Junior Show An gus winner from Virginia.
