The Society of Farm Women
1 voted to provide financial aid
to ocveral organizations during
a business meeting conducted
by Mrs. Roy Brubaker, presi
dent, at the home of Mrs. Amos
Shenk, Lititz R 2, on October 13.
Recipients of the financial
aid are: the Lancaster Farm and
Home Foundation, $4O; the
United Campaign Fund, $10;
the Needlework Guild, $5 and
$lO for Retarded Children.
Mrs. John Erb presented the
devotions and the roll call was
answered by a handkerchief ex
change. The nominating com
mittee announced that all offic
ers have consented to retain
their positions with the excep
tion of the secretary. She will
be replaced by Mrs. Peggy Boll
inger. Mrs. John Hertzler, Eli
zabethtown, showed slides of
her trip to the Holy Lands.
Six members of the Society
have volunteered to fold Christ
mas Seals for TB Society in
Lancaster on October 23. The
Farm Women of Lancaster Co
unty will hold their annual
meeting at the Dutch Town and
Country Inn, Vintage on Nov
ember 4 Dr. Caleb Bucher, pro
fessor at Millersville State Col
lege, anil be the speaker.
A Homemakers meeting has
been scheduled for the Farm
Women of Lancaster County
and it will be held at the Dutch
Town and Country Inn on Nov
ember 15.
