The grand champion was a 4-H
220-pound Duroc, the same
breed that won him the title
at the fiaar last year. -
The reserve grand champion
hog, a Hampshire, was shown
by 'Robert Fisher, East Earl Rl.
The fitting contest went to
Rums and the. Showmanship
award went to Fisher.

FFA boys and their Vo-Ag In
structors from three local
schools are scheduled to leave
(some as early as 5-30 a.m ) this
morning Saturday, October ,7,
for the National FFA Conven
tion to-be held in Kansas - City,
Missouri - from October - 10-T3,
According to Charles KAc-tley,'
teacher at Ephrata High School,
the purpose of the trip is to give
the leaders of our local FFA
chapters leadership training
plus a better understanding of
the National FFA organization.
