Pigs past 6 weeks of age no longer require the same type of nutrition
that is generally provided in a good starting feed. Yet an adequate
ration is a necessity during that important period.
Ful-O-Pep Pig Grower is formulated to meet the nutritional needs of
pigs during the latter phase of the starting period. It’s designed to give
fast, efficient gains a pound or more for every 2 lbs. of feed. Ful-O-Pep
Pig Grower is a low cost, high performance feed that speeds your pigs
into the finishing period.

Study Conducted
On Chickens
And Turkeys
Breast blisters, a growing
problem besetting producers of
chickens and turkeys, develop
from infections in small breast
cavities, anatomy studies show.
The cavities, apparently nat
ural horizontal splits in the
breast skin, are not shared by
related species. They appear to
sured against all risks. Each
family must decide the kind
and amount of risk they can
afford without jeopardizing
family income and savings. It
comes down to deciding how
much money you can set aside
for insurance and then getting
the widest coverage for those
dollars, McAllister believes.

provide a cushion against me
chanical stress.
Current poultry production
practices bring along with them
special skin irritants, such as
metal feeders, wire cages,
crowded floors, and wet litter.
These irritants cause infected
cavities, or blisters, along the
centerline of the breast, which
in extreme cases cause part or
all of the bird to be discarded.
Broiler producers estimate that
5 to 10 percent of the down
grading of their chickens is
due to breast blisters.
Examination of ducks, quail,
and pigeons failed to reveal
breast cavities. These birds
seem to be protected from
stress on the breast by fat-lay
ered connective tissue, and re
searchers think it conceivable
that this type of structure
might be bred into chickens
and turkeys to help them re
sist irritants without develop
ing infected blisters.
Studies on the structure of
normal and abnormal breast
tissues by The Agricultural Re
search Service are part of a

SILAGE ENRICHER
“ALGIT”
A PRODUCT OF THE SEA
Use 5 lbs. Algit to eoch ton of silage.
1. This prevents “Run Off”, (of juices)
2. Keep the silage fresh.
3. Eliminate that certain odor from silage.
4. Increase the nutritional value of silage.
5. Cattle prefer Algit treated silage.
6. The smell which your clothes get in
wintertime is eliminated.
Spread on top of load by hand before unloading.
