ELM-PENRYN CLUB
DONATES TO F&H

Members of the Elm-Penryn
4-H Community Club voted to
donate $25 to the Lancaster
County Farm & Homo Center
fund drive.
Meeting at the Mark Hosier
home last Monday night, the
14 members attending were
also shown movies of the West
by Mrs. Hosier.
On July 24th, a tom of mem
bers’ projects was held. Proj
ects included flowers, capons,
rabbits, and pigs.
The next meeting will be
held September 18 at the Pen
ryn Fire Hall at 7:30 p.m.

The last stop on the tour
was at the home of Dorothea

dairy heifer.
The club plans a tour of the
Penn Dairies’ plant for the
September meeting.

munity Club held a meeting on
August 10 at the home of club
members Sue, Diane, and Dick
Buckwalter. Dick gave a brief
summary on the Exchange Trip
to Middlesex County, Massachu
setts, and on the 4-H State
Days held at the Pennsylvania
State University.
Annette Long gave a report
on the Citizenship Shortcoufse
held in Washington. j
Club members were inform
ed of the County Roundiips
held Thursday, August 17, and
of Achievement Day held !at
the same time.
After the business meeting,
everyone enjoyed watermeldn.
