July 15,1967 C& A_|| "t-n NEWS NAME CHANGE FOR FOUR CLOVERS CLUB by Jeanette Shank, reporter The meeting July 6 of the Four Clovers 4-H Club was high lighted by a baseball game with Garden Spot 4-H’ers, and a name change for the club. It was decided to call the club Penn Willows. Following the baseball game, Averril Royer, of the Garden Spot Club, explained “How to give a demonstration”. Then Rhonda and Richard Burkhart entertained with guitar and banjo. Farm Women Society No 25 donated 25 song books to the cluh Vie club scheduled a bake sale for July 15 at the Southern Market in Lancaster. The next meeting will be held at the Pe quea School on August 10th. GARDEN SPOT 4-H HOSTS LOSE BALL GAME TO P-W by Lynn Royer, reporter The Garden Spot 4-H Com munity Club hosted members of the Penn Willow club at a meeting held at the Lampeter Community Grounds on July 6th. A baseball game, which was a feature of the evening, was won by the visiting club. A banjo and guitar duet by Rhonda and Richard Burkhart provided the entertainment, and Averril Royer demonstrat ed “How to give a demonstra tion”. Rhonda Burkhart was named the club’s junior queen A feature of the August meeting will be a tour of the homes of club members. Increased milk pro duction was the result of two factors; a Higher intake; B. Higher digestible energy con tent This means cows on early cut forage were eating more of a nutritionally better feed.
