Pennsylvania farms produc
ed 370,000 pigs during the
spring of 1967, according to
the Pennsylvania Crop Report

crease of five percent from the
1966 spring crop of 352,000,
but four percent below the
1961-65 average of 384,000.
There were 48,000 sows far
rowed compared with 47,000
the previous year and a five
year average of 53,000. A rec
ord high 7 7 pigs per litter ac
counts for much of this in

would be two percent below
the 43,000 farrowed last fall.
