HOFFMAN 367-1650 that consideration is being giv* cn to suspending some provl* sions of the Delaware Valley federal milk marketing order. The proposed suspension would apply to the amended or* dcr which becomes effective June 1. 1067. If action is taken, it would allow pooling of milk produced under the Delaware Valley order diverted to a plant regulated under another feder al milk order. Also, on milk diverted from a pool plant to a more distant plant, the sus pension action would provide for pricing such milk f. o. b. the plant from which it is diverted. The suspension was requested by the Inter-State Milk Pro ducers Cooperative pending consideration of its proposals to modify these provisions at a public hearing. Inter-State rep resents a substantial number of dairy farmers serving the mar ket, USDA noted. The Delaware Valley federal milk order covers producers in the Philadelphia and Wilming ton marketing areas, and most of southern New Jersey The amended order recently con verted the area from a handler pool to a marketwide pool basis.
