LIVE HENS
Prices on light hens were un
changed to tec lower. Demand
fair. Offerings increased and
were ample due in part to re
cent price break on shell eggs.
However, some yearlings sold
at 7c a pound, picked up at
farms, for use in additional egg
production. Heavy hen offerings
were for the light buying acti
vity. Prices paid at farm: Light
Hens 5-6V4C, mostly 5-6 c; Heavy
Hens 11-13 c.
