Prices for light hens remain
ed unchanged. Prices at high
side of range reflect (locks

deductions. Off farm move
ment light in N.J. and moder
ate in Pa. Processors received
heavy volume shipments from
points in New York State.
There were too few sales to
report prices on heavy hens.
Offerings were limited in some
instances, but freely made in
others. Advices indicate weak
market conditions being exper
ienced for broiler chicks has
caused some unsettledness. De
mand light as buyers take a
wait and see attitude immedi
ately prior to religious holy
day weekend. Prices paid at
farm; Light hens 5-6%, mostly
5%-6%c; Heavy hens, too few
sales to report.
