The proclamation noted that Pennsylvania producers and marketers rely on the turnpike for fast, convenient and depen dable transportation, and as a Jink in the chain of arteries which annually speed 500,000 quality eggs, produced in Penn sylvania under a state program ol giading and marketing, to the New York metropolitan markets. Later that day, 10.000 hard cooked eggs provided by the Egg Marketing Association of Pennsylvania were distributed to the crowds at Rockefeller Center in New York City by "Egg Queens” of the various states Assisting in this distri bution were six Future Farm ers of America from Ephrata High School Also taking part in the festivities were “Miss Nutritia Egg”, a five-foot tall fiberglass character developed by the Market Development Division of the Bureau of Mar kets, Penna Dept, of Agricul ture, for the Pennsylvania Egg Marketing Association Also cooperating in the pro gram were the Morton Salt Company and the Poultry & Egg National Board. Ten semoi vocational agricul ture students at Ephrata High School have begun a seven week agribusiness training pro gram as an occupational work experience Vo-ag teacher Lewis C. Ayers explained that the students work four hours a day, five days a week on. the jobs The peri od began Tuesday and ends May 12. “Students enrolled in the pro gram attend regular school classes in the mormng and re port after lunch to their agri business ]Obs,” Ayers said. “The A.
