Leaders To Make
Goodwill Tour
A delegation of prominent
Pennsylvania agricultural lead
ers will be making a 21-day
goodwill inspection mission
throughout Europe and the
Soviet Union this summer, it
was announced this week.
Named as host for the group
was Enos B. Heisey, of Her
shey. Heisey is manager of
Member and Public Relations
of Agway Inc.
The Pennsylvania delegation
will depart New York on July
18. It is scheduled to take part
in numerous visitations with
occupational counterparts, as
well as participate in meetings
and interviews with United
States and foreign government
representatives.
The goodwill mission will
take the Pennsylvania citizens
to Belgium, Spain, Switzerland,
Germany, Czechoslovakia, and
the Soviet Union.
Membership in the Penn
sylvania People-to-People dele
gation is limited to official and
personal invitation only. The
entire goodwill mission is ar
ranged and designed to imple
ment the aims and purposes of
the United States cultural visi
tation exchange program and
endorsed by People-to-People,
Inc., Kansas City, Missouri.
Its purpose is to promote
understanding and goodwill,
both for the American people
and the American government,
to tell the story of democracy
during face to face visitations
