ket prices. Offerings ample
for the fair and much less
brisk buying interest this week.
Offerings on heavy hens very
limited with too few sales to
report prices. Interest only
fair as increased supplemental
supplies from Delmarva, New
England, and North Carolina
are being shipped in Puces

advances, gaining nearly I’A
cents per lb. this week to aver
age 17.65 cents
Prices paid followed the pat
tern of pievious weeks, rang
ing steadily upward from a low
of 15 8 cents on Monday to a
high of 19 6 cents on Thursday.
In spite ot increasing prices,
sales also continued to climb,
totaling 14 million head, a gain
of 300,000 head over last
week's sales
