For the second straight week,
lot-average broiler and fryer
live prices continued to im
prove. Prices paid during this
three-day-market week gained
2.3 cents to average 13.79 cents
per lb.
This stronger upward trend
was evident throughout the
week as prices ranged from a
low of 12.5 cents on Monday to
a high of 15.1 cents on Thurs
day.
Sales this week were a little
stronger also totaling 891,600
head, a gam of more than 100,-
000 head.
