PEQUEA VALLEY
4-H HOLDS ROUNDUP

The anntjal roundup of the
Pequea Valley 4-H Club was
bold Monday night at the In
tercourse Civic Grounds.
Mrs. Charles Hoober and
Mrs. Edward Miller judged
the sewing outfits made by
the girls. The first year girls
were judged only on the neat
ness and sewing of their gan
ments. The other girls were
judged on appearance, model
ing, accessories with the dress,
neatness of sewing, and suit
ability to the occasion.
Miss Cynthia Brackbill and
Miss Glenda Watts judged the
cakes made by 'the cooking
girls. The cakes were judged
on texture, flavor, and color.
The sewing girls will receive
their ribbons at a fashion
show in which they will model
their outfits.
No date has been set for the
fashion show.

The Leola Pincushions 4-H
Club held its regular meeting
at the home of Mrs Jacob
Hoober, August 24
Plans were made for Round
up on September 7, which
will also be held at Mis
Hoober’s.
The meeting was followed
by social time, and the mem
bers worked on their projects
Nine members and two lead
ers were piesent
The next meeting will be
held September 7

grade cows that are fresh and milking between 60 - 70 lbs. per
