That means the deadline for “prin cesses” is fast approaching, since June 1 will be the last opportunity for a farm girl to enter the Area Dairy Prin cess Contest for the 1966 title In announcing the deadline for entries. Mrs Herbert M Royer of 2025 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, urged that eligible girls do not pass up this op po”tumty to compete in the contest. Two girls have al ready entered, she said. Mrs Royer will serve as chaperone for the new princess, as she has for 1965 Daily Princess Linda Lou Welk. Mrs Royer has also been selected to chaperone the 1966 Pennsyl vania Dairy Princess who will be chosen July 20 and 21 at York, and she wiIF go to the national contest in Chicago the week of June 21st, where the 1965 Pennsylvania Prin cess will compete To be eligible for the coun ty contest (county and area are the same since Lancaster County is an individual milk marketing aiea) a girl must be a daughter of a county dairy faimei producing milk commercially, be at least 17 yeais of age, and not reach age 25 before June 30, 1966, be a high school graduate be foie June 30, 1966, be single and a Pennsylvania resident The contest is 'divided into two paits Aiea princesses will be chosen in June in each of the 12 milk maiket ing aieas in the state On July 20 and 21, in Hotel Yorktowne, York, the 12 area puncesses will compete foi the title of Pennsylvania Dairy Princess for 1966 Both aiea and state win neis will leceive a variety of pnzes The finalists also, have an oppoitumty to lepiesent the daily industiy thioughout the veai in public appearances at banquets, county fans and civic events AREA PRINCESS PAGEANT The aiea Dauy Princess Pageant will be held this yeai at the Host Motel, Lancaster, at 7 pm on June 30 Harrs Kauffman of the Philadelphia Dany Council will again serve as mastei of ceiemomes, and Mis Royei leports that those MORE CORN PROFIT PLANT AMERICA’S GREATEST HYBRIDS A.
