Complete Dairy System
The J. Floyd Kreider farm,
located one mile west of Sa
lunga on Eby Chickies Road,
Mt. Joy, will be the scene of
an “on-the-farm” demonstra
tion of a complete dairying
system in actual operation on
Thursday, February 17, at
which time Kreider will hold
“Open House" for dairymen
and farmers of the surround
ing area.
Jointly sponsored by Stand
ard Equipment, Ine., Bel Air,
Maryland manufacturers of a
complete line of dairy barn
equipment, and Mahlon
Kreider, Standard de'aler of
Manheim, the event will open
at 10 am. and terminate at
3 p.m.

Advisory Committee of the
U.S. Department of Agricul
ture recently.
Reduction in the costs of
tobacco production is neces
sary to bring prices down to
a level that will restore the
competitive position of U.S.
tobacco in world markets
and increase income to farm
ers, the committee said.
Increased mechanization
and other labor-saving devel
opments in tobacco planting,
growing, harvesting, and mar
keting were recommended.
The comnnttee also urged
the development of tobacco
varieties that will produce
uniform stands and growth,
