    QUESTION:
How Do Our
Hog Rations
Perform?
ANSWER:
Mr. Landis Sangrey of Columbia, R. D. 2 does keep accurate
records and here is what he found:
On September 7, 1965, he bought 65 Yorkshire Landrace
Cross feeder pigs at an average weight of 20 lbs.
From December 21, 1965, to January 24, 1966, he sold
them at an average weight of 221.9 lbs.
Average daily gain for a feeding period
of U 3 days
Lbs. of feed used per lb* of meat produced
feed-meat ratio 3.03 lbs.
Feeding Program:
#7Ol Green Pastures Pig Starter Pellets until pigs reached 40 lb. weight.
#702 Green Pastures Pig Grower Pellets from 40 - 75 lbs.
#703 Green Pastures Swine Finisher Pellets from 75 lbs. to market.
WHAT ABOUT QUALITY?
Mr. Sangrey's hogs topped the Lancaster market on each sale due to the fine
quality.
Green Pastures is a QUALITY hog feeding program and
properly used on good stock will get you
QUALITY PORK and a better market price as well as
more NET PROFIT.

Many of our customers do not keep good hog feeding records.
Hogs from the same lot are often marketed at different times.
Some feed some of their own corn without keeping track of the
weight and often exact knowledge of feeder pig weight is not
available.
