Calves were steady to 51
higher this week as 120 head
were sold. Choice and Prime,

ANNUAL DAIRY COW
SHOW AND SALE
The grand champion of the
dairy show, a five-year-old
purebred Holstein fresh cow,
sold for $1325. She was
shown by Norman Kolb, and
purchased by Paul Zimmer
man of Ephrata.
Eighteen, top, purebred
cows entered in the show sold
for an average price of $874.
The 39 highest-priced oow»
in the sale averaged $643.
The first prize Guernsey bow
brought $405. The first place
mixed breed cow was entered
by Norman Kolb and sold
for =s49o.
Judging the show was Wil
liam Hepburn of Homestead
Farm, Windsor, -Connecticut,

American Show's and at the
