Fluid Manure Handling Meeting Held In Area Seventj-fhe farm equipment dealers, distributors, educa tors, and agricultural special ists got a concentrated look at fluid manure handling equipment and concepts re cently. Occasion for the two-day gathering was the first of a senes of sales meetings be ing held by Sahlstrom Manu facturing Company, Swedish developer of fluid manure homogenators and spreaders. Corn Chopper Burns On Longenecker Farm A corn chopper on an are* farm, valued at $2,000, was damaged by fire Oct 14 The blaze was believed caused by a short circuit in the wiring. The fire occurred on the Ray bongenecker farm. Lititz R. 2, where, some months ago, fire destroyed several farm buildings The equipment, owned by Isaac Geib, Man heim E. 3, was parked about 35 feet from a new tobacco ahed but the building was not damaged. Responding to the aJarm, about 8 30 p.m . was the Lit itz Fire 00. with two engines. Firemen said Geib had been using the chopper until about 7 pm. when he parked It in the barnyard.
