Guernsey & Jersey Showmen Lead Cotmtians In 4-H District Show by Everett New swam ger, Staff Reporter HER'SHEY The 'boys and girls from the 14 Southeast ern Pennsylvania Counties pa raded 200 dairy projects of all breeds before official judges here last Friday at the 20th annual 'Southeast District 4-H Dairy Show held at the Hershey 'Stadium. GUERNSEY The 4-H”ers with the “Gold en Guernsey” projects brought top honors back to Lancaster County by putting together four entries to win the county group class over eight other counties. The winning group included J. Nelson Landis, 1804 Hempstead Road, Lan caster, with his veteran show heifer Har-Len Heroic Rosan na (first senior yearling, jun ior champion and reserve grand champion); Sue Mum ma, Manheim, showing Har- Len V. Judge for Holsteins and Jerseys, Allie Messer, Pond View Farm, Maryland, picked Thomas Aaron’s, Quarryvilie HI, Lynmoore’s Fashion Prince Mannie (second three-year old) as his reserve senior and reserve grand champion in the Jersey breed. Shirley Aaron, Quarryvilie Rl, had the fourth place intermediate calf, Ste phen Arrowsraith, Peach Bot tom Rl, was fourth in the senior calf class and Wayne Lefever, Quarryvilie Rl show ed the seventh place junior yearling. Stephen Arrowsmith and Nancy Kreider, Drumore Rl, stood first and second respec tively m the senior yearling class.
