Farmers Inspect Feed Processing
4 STATE FARMERS VISIT
Dairymen and Beef Producers fiom Lancaster County,
Eastern Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Delaware
visited Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Zeigler’s, Wood-Lea-View Dairy
Farm at Campbelltown, Pa, to see how they produce milk on
home grown leed piocessed thru their two Haivestoies.
Zeigler’s dairy ration consists of free choice Harveslorc
processed haylage and one pound of Harvestore processed high
moisture ground ear corn to four pounds of milk, plus free
choice home mixed minerals.
Zeigler told the visiting farmers, since he is on the Hai>
vestore feeding program his herd health has greatly improved,
his milk production is higher, butterfat is 3 to 4 points higher
then it was when he fed baled hay, grain and dairy supplement
mixture and corn silage.
Harvestore Builds A Future
Mr. Zeigler said, “We definitely recommend the Harvestore
Feeding Program, because our Harvestores have not only pub
us on the road to success by giving us a year-round feeding pro
gram that lets us get top production from our home grown,
Harvestore Processed Feeds, but is also helping us build a
terrific future for our sons.”
