The 300-egg mark was chosen because the Associa tion believed that today’s bet ter-bred birds have the gene tic capability of achieving and surpassing the goal They stress that sound management of the growing pullet and the layer are the keys to realizing this potential. At the awards program, the members heard Penn State Ex tension Poultryman Dr. Floyd Hicks discuss the subject of profitable egg production.
