duced, an increase of 4 per
cent from the same period in
1964 and the highest of re
cord for these months. The
number of broiler-type eggs in
incubators on May 1 was 5
pei cent above May 1 last year.
There were 74,038,000 egg
type chicks hatched in April
down 17 percent fiom April
1964 and the smallest April
hatch of egg-type chicks of re
coid. All sections of the coun
try reported decreases, 22 per

areas, but is only active in the
