Weekly Broiler Report BROILER PLACEMENTS INCREASE 1 PERCENT Placements of ibroiler chicks in the Commonwealth during the week ending March 20, totaled 789,000, according to the Pennsylvania Crop iße porting Service. The place ments increased 1 percent from the pievious week and 5 percent from a year ago Settings for broiler chicks to taling 1,4011,000 declined 3 per cent .from the previous week hut advanced 34 percent from a year ago. The current 3- week total of eggs set in creased 22 percent from last year In shipments of toroiler type chicks during the past 10 weeks totaled 627,000 or 80 percent above the compar able period in 1964 Outship ments (2,117,000) were 34 per cent above the comparable period a yeai earlier.
