made with plums, coconut,
brown sugar and sugar-coated
rice cereal
PLUM COFFEE CAKE
IVi cups sifted all-purpose
flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
% teaspoon salt
1 egg
9 A cup sugar
% cup butter or margarine,
melted
% cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Sift together flour, baking
powder and salt Beat egg with
rotary beater until frothy.
Beat in sugar and melted but
ter until well blended. Stir

dry ingredients and mix until
smooth. Pour into a greased
9x9x2-mch pan Bake in a
moderate oven (375 degrees)
30 to 35 minutes or until done.
