Broiler prices slipped a frac
tion of a cent this week at the
Lancaster Poultry Center as
j iv e prices averaged 14.95.
A total of 123,100 broilers
, n 15 lots ranged in price
fiom 14.9 to 15.1. A lot of
Leghorn fowl including 750
head brought 912, and two
lots of 950 heavy fowl sold
at 14 9- Ninety males brought
70. All birds on otfer were
sold.

Fishing in a farm pond pre
ceeded the Thursday night
meeting ol the Lancaster Coun
ty 4-H Wildlife club.
'Members met at the farm
pond of Graybill Gibble, Man
heim R 3," but' “didn’t catch
anything worth mentioning”,
according to Eric' Stoner,' re
porter for the club.
The meeting was opened by
members reporting on the
kinds of wildlife they have
seen-during the last month.
Next meeting of the club
will be on October 17 at the
home of Marlene Gentzler,
New Holland Pike.

9 was steady at 3.0. Broilers
averaged 15.38 per pound and
