Live bwiiler prices damped
more than two cents a pound
in the past two weeks at the
Lancaster Poultry Center. At
the August 1 sale a total of
108,35# broilers in 25 lots
"Were sold- at prices ranging
from 1+.2 to 15.0 for a sale
average off 14.4.
A tojt oP 800 heavy fowl
brought I*B,l while a lot of
300 Iqghpm fowl sold for 9
cent* a pound. One lot of 1,-
200 gullets, at nine weeks
crossed the block at 16, and a
lot of heavier pullets changed
hands at 17.7,5.
Only two listed lots failed
to sell, A lot of 650 White
Vautreas at 9 weeks was bid
to 13.5, and a lot of 550
White Vantress cross pullets
at 13 weeks was withdrawn at
the bid of 17.7.
The complete sale offered
110,888 head in 31 lots and
sold 109,838 head in 29 lots.
