Broilers Are Down Slightly
Broiler prices slipped slight-,
ly at the July 18 auction at
the Lancaster Poultry Center.
A total of ,23 lots containing
138,500 broilers brought pric
es ol 15.9 to 16 5 for a sale
average of 16 08 Average at
last week’s sale was 16 48.
Two lots containing 900
roasters sold at 19. One lot ot
1,750 leghorn fowl brought
10.1, and one lot of 1,00)
heavy towl changed hands at
15.3.

ed 152,450 buds in 33 lots
and sold 142,150 birds in 27
lots.

The Delmaiva broiler feed
ratio lor the week ending
July 12 was 3 2, the same as
the previous week. Broilen
averaged 16 13 per pound and
mash cost the grower $lO 0 40
per ton.
