Cook macaroni in boiling
salted water until tender, yet
tirm, 12 to 14 minutes Diain.
Meanwhile, lightly biown
frankfurters in shortening or
oil. Add onion and green pepp
er and cook until onion is
transparent. Stir in tomatoes,
tomato soup, sal’- and pepper,
blending veil. Remove from
heat. Stir in cheese, reserving
2 tablespoons. Add macaroni,
mixing to coat with sauce.
Tum into 2-quart casserole.
Spnukie reserved cheese over
top. Bake in moderate oven
(350 drgieos) about 20 minu
tes, or until bubbly and cheese
is melted. Makes 4 to 6 serv
ings.

the sauce looks curdled when

like other cheeses, should nev
