He said this week he would like to go on to college, but has not made application, and is not sure just what phase of agri culture he would like to pur sue. Larry and his brother Leon have had most of the respon sibility of the farm during the past year, stripping nine acres of tobacco in the evenings after school. Beginning his farming pro gram as a freshman with one gilt and 60 rabbits, Larry has expanded his program to five sows, four acres oif tobacco, two acres of corn, a steer and about 30 tat hogs this year. Leon has another four sows and feeds out another 30 head of hogs. Their father feeds ab out 30 hogs and about 40 head of steers a year. But it was not by his farm ing program alone that Larry earned his office. He was vice president and star farmer in his chapter as a freshman, and won the chapter’s first gilt in the Sears gilt chain piogram. He was 4'th high judge in live stock judging at the Lampeter Fair and repiesented his chap ter at the annual FFA conven tion at Penn State.
