A total of 18 lots including 118,930 head of broilers sold at prices of 15.7 to 16.0 for a sale average of 15.83. The average last week was 15.30. A lot of 850 pullets chang-r cd hands for 23.1, while three lots and 1,550 roasters brought 24 to 24.6. One lot of 700 leghorn fowl sold for 10.2, and 2,300 head of heavy fowl in two lots sold for 17.2 and 17-3. AH birds offered on the June 20 auction were sold. The complete sale offered and sold 124,330 head in 25 lots. A fair demand took the moderate auction offerings with at farm prices ranging 14 9 to 16 for 868,400 head. Prices and reported purchases include 480,400 head pur chased at Thursday’s auction in Selbyville, Del. With practically no eastern shore processing plants operat ing today, estimated slaughter for the week end was 701,000 head compared to 715,000 head last week end. The Delmarva broiler-feed ratio for the week ending June 14 was down two points from the previous week at 30.
