Estimated slaughter for the
week end by eastern shore pro
cessors was 853,000 head com

last week end. Demand rang
ed fair for the moderate offer
ings with plants running near
capacity.
The Delmarva broiler-feed
ratio for the week ending May
17 was down one point from
the previous week at 3.1.
Broilers during the week aver-'
aged 15 86 and mash cost the
grower $99.37 per ton.
