Riding horses were $l5 to $25 per head higher. There were 204 head in the run. Mules by the pair brought $3OO-565, and singles sold for $135-300. Pony mares brought $45- 100 and gelded ponies were $35-90 Riding horses sold for $l3O-290 while driving horses brought $l3O-225. Killer hors es were 7 to 7 % cents a lb. At the March 20 sale of dairy cows the market was slow to barely steady on the 105 cows, 16 bulls and 15 heifers Fresh Holstein cows brought $250-400; Guernseys $l5O - and other bieeds $l5O - Stock bulls were $l6O - and stock heifers $45- 110. A 25 f to 50 lower market took the 568 market hogs at the March 18 sale. Retail hogs to local butchers were 15.50-17.
