Growers Resist Prices
Broilers dropped about a half
cent at the Lancaster Poultry-
Center this week as 42,000
head In 9 lots ranged from 15
to 16.6. However, the bulk of
the sales were at 15 1 and the
sale average was 15 20.
All broilers on offer were
Bold, but seller resistance was
noted on heavier birds Grow
ers refused bids of 16 to 20 2
for 6,750 head in seven lots.
Three lota of 4,750 pullets
brought 20-25 5 and one lot of
1,2-00 roasters sold for 20 2
A lot of 4,500 heavy fowl
brought 11.4 and a lot of 900
leghorn fowl brought 9.0.

auction offered 60,100 head In
22 lots and sold 53,350 head
in 15 lots.
