The top animal, a yearling
hull, brought an even SV,OOO
at the dispersal sale ol 78
head of registered Holsteins in
the herd of J. Mowfery Frey,
Sr , Lancaster R 7, on Tuesday.
The hull, sired by Osborn
dale Ivanhoe and out of
Wnghtwiek Glenafton Rachel,
was purchased by the New
Jersey Cooperative breeding
stud. The contending bidder
was a Mr. Bunn from North
Carolina, according to R. Aus
tin Backus, manager of the
sale.
Top cow, a five year old,
brought ?S3O The average
price paid for the 78 head*- in
cluding heifers, was $4lB.
