Here’s a good example of why feed shouldn’t he
bought on the basis of ingredient tags alone.
Three groups of hogs were fed rations carrying
identical ingredient tags at the Purina Research
Farm. One was a Purina ration . . . the other two
Were called X and Y. The three groups of hogs
Were fed to 165 days.
The Purina ration made a net profit of $12.71
per hog more than Ration Y and $6.46 more than
Ration X. Though ingredient tags are important,
here’s positive proof they don’t fell the profit
