Is Honored
Richard Hoover, 548 West
Walnut Street, Lancaster,
County Supervisor for the
Farmers Home Administration
at the Lancaster Office, this
week received a cash award
and a certificate which reads,
"For sustained superior per-,
formance of assigned duties
which reflects credibility on
the Farmers Home Adminis
tration and the entire Federal
Service”
Edward Engle FHA Chief of
Program Operators for the
state presented the award tt»J
Hoover The certificate of
award carries with it a cash
stipend of $203.
Engle said the awards pro
gram is a means of recognizing
the initiative and outstanding
work done by employees. The
FHA extends loans to qualified
farmers when local private or
cooperative sources can not.
The local office, during the
■past fiscal year loaned and
collected over $813,000.
Hoover, a former dairy
farmer m Montgomery Ooun-
( ty, went into the FHA work
upon his separation from,
military service in 1956
He is a graduate of the
.Pennsylvania State Unrvfcuity.

met on Monday evening at the
home of Mrs Willis Bucher,
the leader. Margaret Grube,
the president was in charge o£
the meeting and nineteen mem

health talk to the girls and

sented “Show and Tell” on.
