Date, Place For Plowing Matches
Set By Soil Conservation Directors
The date has been set and
plans aie almost completed tor
the annual countj plowing
contest sponsored bv the Lanc
aster County Soil Conseivation
District, it was announced
Monday night at the legular
monthly meeting.
The contest, featunng only
level land plowing will be held
on Monday, Juy 23 on the faim
of Roy H Garber, Lititz R 3.
Ram date is Julj 30.
The contest is open to anv
farmer, fanner's wite, son,
daughter or an\ hired man on
a Lancaster County Farm. All
contestants must be 1G yeais
of age or older, according to

TROPHIES TO BE AWARDED at the annual
plowing contest sponsored by the Lancaster County
Soil Conservation District. The larger of the two will
be a -revolving trophy which has to be won three times
for permanent possession The district will furnish one
of the smaller awards to be given to the winner each
