The Second Meal
After the big feast, there is always the question, what
can Ido with the left overs? Left overs can be a problem
unless there is a plan to make them as tempting as possible.
Here are a few suggest- or coarse dry bread

2 tablespoons chopped parsley, salt, poultry sea
parsley sonmg, pepper, and bread
3 ,4 teaspoon salt cubes Push hash mixture to
Vz teaspoon poultry sea- one side of skillet. Melt but
somng ter and spread hash evenly
Vs teaspoon pepper over the skillet surface. Cook
Vz cup toasted bread cubes over low heat, 25 to 30 min-

3 cups sliced roast turkey

1 medium onion, sliced
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup seasoned turkey
stock or-chicken bouillon
3 ounce can sliced mush- -
rooms, drained
Vi teaspoon* salt
2 teaspdons paprika
2 egg yolks
1 cup dairy soured cream
Poppy Seed Noodles'*
Melt butter in a skillet
Add onion and cook without
browning 5 minutes or until
tender. Blend in flour. Add
stock and cook, stirring con
stantly until mixture thick
ens. Reduce heat to very
low. Stir in mushrooms, salt,
and paprika. Add turkey sli
ces. Simmer 5 to 10 minutes

8 ounces of noodles in boil
ing salted water until tender,
aboutr 10' minutes. Drain.
Stir in 3 tablespoons melted
butter or margarine and- two
teaspoons poppy seeds. Sea

pieces. Pan fry in skillet un
til almost crisp. Remove ba
con, drain on paper towel.,
Add’ onion, green pepper, gar
lic to drippings. Cook until
tender, about 5 minutes. Add
bacon, tomatoes, rice,' salt,
and stock. Cover and cook
over very low heat 25 min
utes. Stir in turkey. Cook 5
minutes longer Serve hot
