demand improved to a fair
level.
Prices of 16 30 to 17.90
were reported on 656,500
head at farms during the 24
hour period ending 10:30 on
Friday morning.
Processors were operating
at near normal levels to fill
supply lines until after the
holiday Estimated slaughter
by eastern shore processors
for the week end was 616,-

The Delmarva broiler-feed
ratio for the week ending
December 15 was up four
points from the previous
week at 3.7. Broilers averag
ed 17.30 and mash cost the

ratio for the comparable
week last year also stood at
3.7 but six months ago it had
dropped to 2 8
Georgia reported prices of
15 cents at farms up to 16.5
at plants.
