CHOCO-FRUIT-NU'T CHEWS
1 6-ounce package semi
sweet chocolate bits
1 14-oz. can <ll4 cups)
sweetened condensed milk
Dash salt
IV2 cups raisins
IV2 cups coarsely chopped
salted peanuts
Melt chocolate bits over
hot (not boiling) water. Blend
in condensed milk and salt
Cook over rapidly boiling
water till thickened, stirring
constantly (about 10 min).
Stir in raisins and nuts. Drop
by rounded tablespoonfuls, 2
inches apart, onto foil-lined
cookie sheet. Bake at 375
degiees for 10 minutes Let
stand till cold, then peel oft
foil. Yield. 32.
