Snavely's Farm Service
The NeW York boys were
particularly impressed with
the beautiful farm land, the
well-kept buildings and the
lack of waste land.
We were equally impres
sed with the friendliness,
and genuine kindness of the
people who took us into
their homes.
We found that the area a
round Lancaster-has a weal
th of industry, resources, tra
dition and local history.
Xhe success of our trip was
due in no small part to the
ground work laid by Mr
Owen, editor of Lancaster
Farming, who arranged most
of our tours.
The spots of interest visit
ed were varied but we
would like especially to
thank Miss Emma Landis
who so ably described the
collections and historic back
ground at the Landis Valley

This was a completely new

A farm of interest -visited
was that of Noah Kreider

Here our members learned
that a farm can be really
big business if conducted
skillfully. The diversification
of crops, poultry, dairy and
beef together with out put
per unit was amazing.
A final stop was made at
